Academics Overview

Preschool

The Preschool program at CCCS provides a nurturing Christ-centered learning environment for children ages 3 years through 5 years of age.

Every child is given the opportunity to flourish developmentally, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. All of our loving staff members have training in Early Childhood Education. We promote curiosity and creativity, while building our young learner’s self esteem. Our core program hours are from 8:00 am to 3:15 pm with AM (8:00 - 11:00) and all day options.  For additional options, please contact us by email.

K through 5

As a college-preparatory school, Corpus Christi is dedicated to the continual pursuit of academic excellence. The scope and sequence of the elementary school curriculum is comprised the Common Core State Standards along with the Catholic Diocese of Peoria curriculums and integrated with best practices. Corpus Christi provides special areas including Music, Art, Technology, Spanish, Physical Education, and Library.

Junior High

The middle school years are marked with much change and growth. At Corpus Christi, the Junior High team focuses on walking with students and parents through these transitional years. Our desire is to help students focus on their spiritual, academic, artistic, and athletic gifts and talents to help them grow and mature into Christ-centered men and women who love and serve their Lord and the greater community.

Faculty and staff will partner with parents to fully develop respect (for themselves, others and authority), kindness, honesty, trustworthiness, and loyalty in these foundational years of student life. The Junior High curriculum is designed to challenge students academically while developing their spirituality. Young adolescents undergo rapid physical, intellectual, and moral growth, and they move from concrete to abstract thinking and back again. They deal with tremendous pressure from peers, parents and society, all the while searching for identity, purpose, security, and acceptance. It is our desire to provide an emotionally safe environment where the Junior High student grows and matures into one who strives for “Character Before Career, Wisdom Beyond Scholarship, Service Before Self, and Participation as a Way of Life”.
