The 6th graders have been studying soil in STEM. Thanks to a grant from the Farm Bureau the students were able to study the different types of soil we have in Mclean county. They were also able to test our STEM garden soil for PH levels as well as its nutrient levels for Nitrogen, Potassium and Phosphorus. Now we can amend our soil and yield a better crop for our kitchen staff! #sustainability #realworldpractices #handsonlearning
