And the winner of the Corpus Christi Mock Caldecott Award goes to The Last Zookeeper by Aaron Becker!
Students in grades K -3 learned about the Caldecott Award which is given to an illustrator every year by the American Library Association. We then read four books that were nominated this year and voted on our favorite.

5th graders trying to solve the mystery of the missing ashes before tomorrow.
6th grade engineered a LEGO Robot! They coded the robot to make it move. They created a challenge for their classmates to complete.
Congratulations to our Junior High Band members who participated in Solo and Ensemble at Trinity Lutheran last night! Our three solos all received a 1 rating on their performances, which is the highest rating you can get! Our 8th grade girls trio received a 1, our 7th grade quintet received a 2, our 7th grade duet received a 2, our 6th grade trio received a 2, and our 6th grade quartet received a 2! Congrats to our students who spent several weeks preparing their music and did a wonderful job last night!
The 8th grade Aspire class students visited the BACC 8th Grade Career Expo at the Interstate Center! They had so many opportunities to experience hands on simulations as well as get some free items!! Great job students beginning with the end in mind and trying to decide on a path to your future career!
It was great to have Central Catholic Band & Choir visit us and play alongside our band today!
We love our partner schools and especially love seeing so many of our Corpus Christi Graduates!

NO SCHOOL- Due to projected hazardous weather conditions forecasted for tomorrow afternoon, we have made the decision to cancel school for Wednesday, February 12th. While the weather may appear fine in the morning, forecasts indicate worsening conditions later in the day, making travel potentially unsafe for our students and families. Please note there will be no before or after school care (Treasures), activities, events, athletics, etc. since school is canceled. Our Athletic Director/coaches will share any schedule changes with families and students. Stay warm, take this opportunity to rest and recharge, and enjoy the snow! We look forward to seeing everyone back on Thursday!
7th Grade Technology students broke out their creativity. They turned the Makey Makey Circuits into a watch controller, piano, guitar, race car & many other fun inventions! Did you know you can run the circuit through 17 people!?!
We cant wait to hear from the 2nd grade and Interventionist Teachers on Tuesday night at school club!
