3rd grade has been learning about stored energy vs. energy in motion in STEAM class. Students designed and built catapults. Students identified they were holding stored energy when they forced the catapult arm down, and launching energy into motion when they launched their pumpkins across the cafeteria! Everyone agreed energy in motion is more fun!

7th grade STEAM and Tech worked together on a Sphero Golf Course Engineering project. Students designed and built golf courses with a series of constraints in STEAM class, and then Tech class coded Sphero robots to “drive” the golf course. Everyone joined together to “play” golf at the end of the trimester! Collaboration is so fun!

Our Teacher Appreciation Committee took time today to celebrate Mrs. Hoeniges and her gift of teaching! 🌸 She was blessed with a beautiful bouquet as a token of our gratitude for the faith and love she brings to our school family. 🙏💛

A huge congratulations to Brooke and Evelyn on getting accepted into the ILMEA District 3 Festival! They put in a bunch of hard work outside of school to prepare audition music. Both girls will be representing Corpus Christi at the ILMEA District 3 Festival at Olivet Nazarene University on November 15th! Way to go, ladies! We are so proud of you!

First we explored the parts of a pumpkin and then PreK 3 made a geoboard with their pumpkins. So fun!

This week, our 5th and 1st Grade Saints led a Living Rosary in a beautiful and creative way—using small pumpkins for the beads and larger ones to mark each decade. As we welcomed the changing of the seasons and admired the bounty of fall, our students reminded us that prayer and gratitude are at the heart of everything we do.

Gearing up for Halloween! Prek is loving all the Halloween crafts and activities

Mrs. Murray's 7th grade visited Carle Cancer Institute to help spread our school theme Be the Light as part of our Track a Thon service projects with Aspire! They tied fleece blankets for patients receiving infusions and created hand made cards to help spread the virtue Hope! The front desk worker and a parent also thanked them for brightening other people's day and being so well behaved!
